One of the BEST things about living in Central Texas is that you are only a few hours from just about anywhere and anything that you would want to do!! Killeen Texas is approximately 3 hours from Dallas and Houston, 1 hour from Austin, 2 hours from San Antonio, 4 hours from Galveston and the coast and about 7 hours from South Padre Island!!

Over the course of the many years I have lived here, I have taken tons of day trips and many more over-night trips to some really awesome places!! I think my favorite trips would be to San Antonio to stroll on the River Walk and enjoy amazing food any yummy margaritas and wine. I also really look forward to trips to Fredericksburg where you can find a winery at every turn and path along the way and the German food is WOW!
