Guest bedroom and guest bathroom ideas- Killeen homes – Killeen real estate

Be the perfect host…

Wow your overnight guests with a luxurious and well stocked guest room and bath. I like to take the shampoos, lotions and conditioners with me from my hotel stays (I paid for them right?) and use them in a basket in my guest bath. Over time I have accumulated many different kinds plus shower caps, toothpastes, toothbrushes etc that are all perfect for my guests when they stay over at my home. If you don’t stay in hotels much, you can still find individual sized toiletries in the travel section of your Target, Walmart or drugstore.

It should go without saying, but I will say it anyway… CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN is the key here. Your guests aren’t expecting 5-Star luxury accommodations but that doesn’t mean you can’t strive for it. If you don’t have time for a thorough cleaning -let the professionals handle it this time. If you do have time (and energy) – don’t forget the corners, baseboards and ceiling fan!

Here is a list of a few items that will have your guests begging to come back soon!

Guest bedroom:

  • Lots of pillows. A few soft and a few firm – plus a back pillow for reading in bed.
  • A small tray for the dresser or nightstand for your guest’s things like jewelry, eye-glasses and electronics.

  • A universal charger for phones, tablets and other small electronics.

  • Best selling books, popular magazines appropriate for your guest’s interests and a notepad with pen.
  • A box of tissues.
  • A hook on the back of the bedroom or closet door.
  • Extra blankets – light and heavy, everyone’s sleeping temp is different.
  • Clock
  • Something that smells good – like fresh flowers, candles or a wax warmer – but stay away from aerosol air fresheners.
  • A small dish of candies like mints, chocolates and/or gum.
  • Bottled water and glass

Guest bathroom:

  • Razor and shaving cream
  • New toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Cotton balls, Q-tips and tissues
