Gatesville homes – shopping with new clients today!
Today was a fun day in Gatesville with my new buyer clients. They are currently renting a home outside of Gateville and want to be closer to town for more convenience. We started out with 6 Gatesville homes on our list – but 2 were already under contract by the time we met! Gatesville homes in the price range of $90K to $130K are scarce so buyers have to be quick!
I always forget how much I love Gatesville until I drive over there again. I was pleasantly surprised to see the by-pass around Copperas Cove – toward Gatesville and North 116 was complete and open! It normally takes up to 15 minutes to get through the insane amount of traffic lights in Cove, crawl through the 30 MPH speed limits and wait for the train to pass. Today I literally exited Hwy 190 before the first traffic light and was on North 116 at the water treatment plant in about 2 minutes… it was AWESOME! The only problem was I was about 45 minutes ahead of schedule when I arrived in Gatesville. (I wasn’t complaining though…I used the time to call leads and return calls from yesterday.)
We met at the gas station on the edge of town and loaded up in my car. In less than 1 hour we had toured 4 great homes together and got to know each other better! Lots of laughs, questions about kids and work, hometown memories and good convo about the “investment aspect” of buying a starter home.
We parted with a quick “talk to you soon” and they headed home to decide which home would work best for their family. I expect to hear from them in the next few days with a decision about the home they want to make an offer on…I secretly suspect it will be the new construction home – and I will work hard to get them a good deal from the builder.
